Our Autumn Harvest

Slide into autumn with our bountiful range of root vegetable and game based dishes, hearty red wines and warming whisky cocktails.


As the long summer nights draw to a close, we will be reaping the autumnal harvest with a cornucopia of inspired dishes, using only the freshest locally sourced, seasonal ingredients.

Game season kicks off on the glorious twelfth, so expect pheasant, venison and partridge to be featured, alongside heritage carrots and beets, salsify and the last of the summer berries.

The changing colour of the leaves reflects what’s behind our bar. From the deep berry of fine red wines such as Finca Malbec, to the amber glow of whiskey, ready for Old Fashioned Week in November.


Our chefs take pride in adapting our seasonal British menu inline with locally available produce. This autumn you can tuck into a mouthwatering menu of pub classics, fresh fish specials and the British staple, the Sunday roast.

Take your pick from succulent roast beef, thyme roast chicken or sumptuous vegetarian options . Each is served with goose fat or herby roast potatoes, double egg Yorkshire puddings and a generous helping of rich, thick gravy.
