Our Communities

Our Communities

Communities and pubs go hand in hand, creating vibrant social places that offer much more than just drinks. These pubs are at the heart of the community that provide a unique and essential gathering point, fostering a sense of belonging and where friendships are forged and deepened.

Our pubs offer a laid-back and safe environment where friends and families can enjoy quality time together, and people can come together and connect over shared experiences. Frequently hosting events, such as open mic nights, ‘Meet up Mondays’ at the Alexandra in Wimbledon to combat loneliness, weddings, or simply enjoying some rugby. Pubs are a vital part of British life, bringing people together to create lasting memories

Food bank and community scheme initative Pass The Plate, and School of Hard Knocks who use sports and other activities to help participants re-engage with school or find employment.

Christmas Celebrations

The festive season is a time for giving, which is why we celebrated the season by working with remarkable organisations supporting both people and the planet.

Trees for trees

In partnership with Absolut, and More Trees, we pledge to plant an actual tree for every ‘cocktail tree’ sold in our pubs. This initiative with Pernod Ricard UK is estimated to remove up to 36 tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere throughout the trees’ growth life.

Charity crackers

Our Christmas crackers are made from FSC certified recycled board, containing either a cardboard or wooden Christmas tree decoration and an environmental quiz question. 10% of the sales being donated to the Teenage Cancer Trust with £4,770 raised in 2022.
