- Bye bye -dark circles
Burning the candle at both ends? Say goodnight to those pesky dark circles with your daily brew. Coffee grounds contain high levels of anti-oxidants and the caffeine has a stimulation effect on the blood circulation. Take a peek at our homemade recipe below to find yourself bright eyed and bushy tailed.
- Add 2 tbsp Coconut oil to 3 tbsp Coffee Grounds and stir to create a paste
- Apply under the eye area and leave for 5-10 minutes
- Rinse and pat dry
2. Meat me for coffee?
Tenderize your Sunday roast by creating a dry-rub recipe with Sea Salt and adding it to your joint two hours before serving.
Coffee contains natural acids and enzymes, making it especially effective at tenderising meat and it might even help avoid that post sunday lunch lull.
3. Shine like a star
Shine like the star your are this October with this homemade made beauty regime.
Ingredients:
3 tbsp of fresh coffee grounds
1 tbsp natural oil of your choice: olive, grape seed, coconut, or almond
1 tbsp brown sugar
Directions:
Mix all dry ingredients, then add oil. Based on the kind of scrub consistency you want, add more or less brown sugar. Massage onto your face in gentle, circular motions, rinse with warm water and refrigerate. Use within 2 days
4. Wood stains – Blend it in
Scuffed granny’s antique table? Fear not we have the answer. The natural oils in the coffee grinds are a great option for removing marks and scuffs from wood and the best bit is this simple process uses just grounds and water.
- Make a paste of coffee grounds and water(3 Tbsp coffee – 1 water)
- Apply to marked area, leave for 10 minutes to soak, remove excess with a clean cloth
5. Luscious locks – Coffee shampoo
Exfoliating your scalp with coffee grounds can help remove build up and dead skin cells. Studies have been shown that the caffeine in coffee grounds work to stimulate hair cell growth. Avoid lattes!
