Work from Pub – the new work from home

18th October 2020

Wave goodby to wobbly WiFi,  banish those bedroom zooms and make a beeline for your local this Autumn.

With working from home (WFH) becoming the new norm, we understand that staring at the same four walls all day might not be the most conducive when it comes to cracking through that todo list. Which is why we’ve decided it’s time to get productive at the pub with our new Work from Pub (WFP) packages, for freelancers and home-workers alike.

Running throughout the week, each participating pub is fully equipped with free WiFi, charging points, quiet spaces and, most importantly, unlimited tea and coffee. Say goodbye to packed lunches and eating at your desk and opt for delicious seasonal breakfasts, brunches or lunches.

Available across all four points of London and beyond, book a spot in advance, and move your office to the pub.

Standing proud overlooking Winchmore Hill in North London, the Kings Head are keeping everyone motivated with their work from pub offer. At £20, not only will workers be treated to a choice of lunch from the sandwich menu and bottomless tea and coffee, but once the day is done, there will be a pint or glass of wine waiting to sit back and unwind.

Located off Kentish High Street, escape from the office and take a seat at The Lion and Unicorn’s co-working space. From £15, enjoy a dish from their brunch or lunch menu, plus unlimited coffee and tea throughout the day.

Based in Shoreditch? Look no further than Finch’s on Finsbury Square, who are ready with free all-day WiFi, a desk for the day with use of a printer, unlimited tea and coffee plus fruit infused water and a dish choice from the brunch menu, all for £20.

Located in the central hub of Royal Arsenal, those based South East can sit back in the stunning surrounds of The Guard House. Launching on Monday 19th October from 10am-5pm, guests will be welcomed with bottomless coffee, tea and soft drinks, plus a lunch dish from the menu for the set price of £15.

The newly refurbished Dog & Fox offers a work-from-pub package in its beautiful Coach House. Available Monday-Friday from 7am-4pm at £15, early risers are welcome to set up their ‘home’ office for breakfast along with unlimited tea and coffee, while if arriving from 11am, there will also be a choice of brunch or sandwiches. The Dog & Fox is also equipped to host small business meetings away from the bustle of the main restaurant.

Soon to reopen after a stunning refurbishment, the Duke on the Green will be open all-day for freelancers and workers, where for £12 guests can have their own pub desk space, with charging points, WiFi, bottomless tea and coffee plus a choice of brunch or lunch dish.

Work with a riverside view at the Waterside Imperial Wharf with a delicious brunch dish such as Avocado and Eggs or the Waterside Fry, plus bottomless teas and coffees for £15.

Beat the WFH boredom at local hub The Elgin, where, for £14, guests will be kept topped up with tea, coffee and soft drinks, along with a dish from the light lunches. Available Monday to Friday from 10am-4pm.

Swap the desk chair for one of the comfy seats at The Ram in the heart of Hammersmith. With free WiFi, unlimited hot drinks and a choice of lunch off the menu, it is the ideal location for the new home office

Working from the pub is not just for those in London, with a number of Young’s nationwide pubs also open for those wanting a change in scenery. Pubs include:

A community hub, work in the warm and rustic surrounds of the Old Manor, located just off the high street. Available Monday to Friday from 10am-5pm, guests can book a table up to 4 hours to work from, while enjoying a sandwich or light bite with unlimited tea and coffee for £10.
