We held our wake in the upstairs room at the Crown Tavern and were very well looked after. Great staff, food and service and good value.

We hired the upstairs room for my son’s christening and received fantastic service from start to finish. We were able to come in early and set up. The room is already very nice so we didn’t need to go overboard on decorations. The staff were very helpful but also let us get on with what we wanted to do. I especially like how contained the room is, you have your own bar, toilets, outside area and even cloakroom. We ordered some buffet food which was a very high standard. The lady running the bar for us was simply outstanding. She was so quick yet friendly and worked hard all day. My baby absolutely loved her and it was so sweet she made time to say hello to him. I would very much recommend this venue.

Lovely Christmas Eve event in a pub that has been welcoming hungry travellers for centuries. The food was good and plentiful. We had roast chicken apart from one rebel who had fish and chips. Very tasty though way too much to get through.

The staff are welcoming, knowledgeable and attentive. Special thanks to Brogan who was great and made sure we had an enjoyable experience.
