Christmas in Cheltenham

We visited the Tavern on the evening of 23rd December, at 7pm for a work Christmas meal and we were not disappointed! Wow! The portion size was amazing and it was delicious! We had a variety of dishes and all were yummy. The place was buzzing, not too busy but had a great atmosphere and the staff were attentive and very friendly. We couldn't fault it and will definitely be visiting again!

I can’t get enough of this place, and decided to hold the work Christmas dinner here this year. Food was amazing and service was great, not just my view, but the view of every person at the table! Prices are very reasonable (example, 9 of us drank a lot and ate three courses for under £500 including service) and the normal menu is varied and very good quality. Steve is the hardest working landlord I’ve ever come across, and his team are great. I can thoroughly recommend whiling away a Sunday afternoon here, and the buffalo wings have to be tried if you like spicy!

We arrived at the Tavern for Christmas Eve lunch, drawing a line on our festive shopping for another year, hungry and, in my case, a tad thirsty too. They delivered on all fronts.
