If you’re looking for some tips on the perfect present presentation, we caught up with gift wrapping guru, Jo Clydesdale. Founder of the wonderful Wrapper Snapper, and wrapper to the stars, to find out how to make the most of gifting this Christmas. 

Whilst the pub may not be your first stop when it come to Christmas shopping, it does offer a unique way to treat your loved ones this Christmas. From boutique hotel breaks, to dinner for two or simply a pint down your local, we’ve got it wrapped.

Tip 1: Preparation is the key to success.

Make sure you have all your tools ready to wrap. A handy pair of sharp scissors are a must when it comes to ribbon cutting,  leaving it with a tidy edge (to avoid fraying). 

Tip 2. Can you cut it.

Always cut your paper to the desired size before you start. As the old saying goes, measure twice and cut once.

Tip 3. Say goodbye to single life.

When it comes to tape, single just won’t slide. Double sided tape is a must when it comes to hiding those pesky paper joins.

Tip 4. Play it smooth.

Always use good quality paper to avoid tears & unnecessary creases. To stop any unwanted bumps and lumps keep your paper taught to ensure a smooth wrap.

Tip 5. Striving for present perfection?

Connect your paper on the edge or middle of the gift depending on the width of ribbon being used

Tip 6. Bigger is better.

If unsure on the length of ribbon needed always overestimate – it’s better to have more than less to work with
