Pop into the Coborn and you will be surprised at what you find. Their motto 'An oasis in a changing world' sums it up nicely. This is a real pub run by Peter & Norma Footman who offer a genuine and friendly welcome to all whether you are on your own or with a group.

The Coborn Arms was bought by Young's in 1984 and later extended into the house next door.

The pub, built when housing was introduced to the area in the mid-18th century, is named after Priscilla Coborn, a wealthy local benefactor.

The COBORN welcomes the World to their Oasis.

I visited Coborn Arms and was delighted to find a wonderful welcome. I as just passing through, needed a quick stop and a break. I ordered Lasagne, It was served in about 10 mintutes, beautifully garnished, hot and elicious. The staff made me feel so welcome, I wish that I lived nearer and could make this my local. Well done, A tru Old English Pub, clean, with goood beer but in tough with the modern world. Thank you.

I went to the Coborn this morning for the first time ever and was delighted by what I found, when you come off the A11 in to Coborn Road, it's like a different world. The Coborn is a real pub run by two lovely people with a really welcoming atmosphere, and Norma has even started growing her own vegetables in the garden at the back - definitely a pub to find time to visit.
