I went to the 'Alex' wine bar last night for the first time in ages (my mates have been raving about it!) and i was surprised! The staff where helpfull and friendly, and made me feel at home. We had too glasses of wine, albeit rather expensive, but to chill out on a monday night in there was great. Also, there seemed to be a great atmosphere and a much better. Also, nice normal people drinking in there too1 always helps!

I come to Wimbledon from Sweden on regular basis during the summers, due to the tennis, and me and the family have Alexandra as a favourite pub! It´s always a true pleasure to drop in for a pint. The atmosphere is lovely, and the crew that works ther are very nice.
I always recommend Alexandra for all of my friends, and the good words have been spread in Sweden.
All the best from

I went there today after a 13 months as I live in Harrow and John the barman remembered what I wanted to drink - I complimented on his memory but was shocked at his memory.

I recently visited my son in Wimbledon and 'made' the Alexdra my local.
I enjoyed every moment I was there and was made to feel very welcome and 'part' of the the Pub.
I thank Sott,Colin,John Silver so part of e Pub.
My photos and experiences have been circulated amongst my friends in Cape Town.
Unfortunately I only started to chat to Paul the manager the night before I left and was not able to pop in again before I left. My apologiesto him but I will be back.
Kind regards
John Smyth
Cape Town
ps I don't mind my e-0mail address being given out as I am a partner in a very 'English' style pub in Cape Town.
