Peter, Jan & Olly Dog - Ambience
02/05/2013
It's an absolute delight to enter with Olly Dog who is always served first. The manager, Simon and his bar staff, Oli, Sean, VIcky, Laz and all the others, are hands-on and very accomodating, well done to all on making our visits to the PoW enjoyable. Keep up the good work and not forgetting Mollie the Wonder Dog who Olly Dog loves.

Had many great meals and social meetings here this summer where we were moored up for the olympics on our boat the 'Helen' on the River Lea. We are now sailing back up to the midlands, but we really enjoyed our time here this year, and our dog Phoebe really loved being with Mollie and I'm sure she enjoyed all the play fighting they did. Great to have met you both, and Mollie and all your staff, you have a wonderful venue. Hope to come back some time soon, (I do work in London from time to time so will try to come over).

John - new and definately improved

Unfortunately I hadn't attended the princess of wales before the refurb, however, I've heard stories of it from previous patrons of the bar and I couldn't believe how truly terrible it was before.
I pass by the pub on my way to work, and only recently noticed it had re-opened; it was wonderfully decorated; the staff were friendly, welcoming and polite; I even got to speak with the two managers who were amazingly welcoming.
The food was great, the drinks choices were seemingly well thought out, with not a stella, carlsberg or carling seen, in favour of more premium drinks.
Was a little disappointed there was no southern comfort, however, I was introduced to the wonderful world of kraken spiced rum. Happiness!!

I wish them and everyone all the best
