Buckingham Arms
62 Petty France, Westminster, London. SW1H 9EU
T: 020 7222 3386   E: buckinghamarms@youngs.co.uk

A quirky, friendly and welcoming haven in the hustle and bustle of central London hidden away in Petty France, and a stones throw from St James's Park and Buckingham Palace.

A classic example of a traditional Victorian public house, the Buckingham has been here since 1804 or thereabouts. Recently refurbished, but maintaining its previous style and character with superlative new toilet facilities, but still a proper pub!

We believe that our food offer is truly above the norm and apart from Traditonal Pub Fare such as 'Bangers and Mash' and 'Fish and Chips' there are ever changing 'Specials Menus' along with Sharing Platters or Single Snack Plates to suit all tastes. We can also offer other catering for parties for any celebration.

So, if you're tired of sight seeing or finished at the Office - you will be very welcome at lunctime, afternoon or evening, when you can relax and enjoy excellent food, drink and quality service. We look forward to seeing you.

The Buckingham is also proud to be one of only 9 pubs that have been in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide every year for it's 37 years of publication and one of only two in the London area! A full range of Young's Real Ales is always available.

For those of you who like a bit more historical background - the pub is named after George Villiers, the first Duke of Buckingham (1592-1628), a royal statesman during the reign of James I and Charles I. The Duke was one of the richest men in England at the time and was notorious for his arrogant behaviour, he was so popular that he was assassinated at the age of 36!

We also have a fine photo of The Queen Mother pulling a pint of Young's beer - retaining our royal association!

J.Dingbat - Classy Bar lady

Lovely seeing such a wonderful lady pulling the old pint after a hard days work, nothing better than her polite gestures although she often looked across at the hot soldier on the front gate of Wellington Bks, think she fancies the Sgt of the Bk Guard I know he fancies her!!!

bob farey - visit July 2nd

It is always a nice pub to visit with excellent beers. On Friday July 2nd when I visited, the Young's (ordinary) bitter was as good as I have ever tasted it - perfection. I told the barman / manager (with the moustache) how good it was, he seemed pleased with the feedback saying the pub had now got a special beer award.

Don't think the loos are superlative, just ok in my opinion.
