After much deliberation of local London venues to host out wedding we decided to go with the County Arms and we are so pleased we did. We had 100 guests at the ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening party.
Our biggest priorities were for a venue that needed very little work to transform into a lovely wedding space and where we could have the ceremony, meal and dancing all in one place and the County Arms was perfect for this. The Victoria Lounge was ideal for our slightly informal ceremony and the Belvedere looked amazing for the wedding breakfast. The food was just fantastic and many of our guests commented on how impressed they were with the food. We found it difficult to make the final decision on what to offer following our food tasting evening as we had so many delicious options. In the end the chef was extremely accommodating in allowing us to give our guests the option of 4 starters and 4 mains. I would definitely recommend the Herb crusted Dorset lamb rump, crushed peas and mint, rich Madeira jus. The venue was also extremely helpful in allowing us to bring our own wedding cake, homemade brownies and cheese tower, which they even set up and displayed for us. The wine and prosecco choices were also excellent and we even had a little wine tasting session to decide which was the best options for us.
After the meal the Victoria lounge was transformed in to a great space for dancing with a DJ and still having the dining area for guests to relax and chat made the evening perfect.
For us the most impressive thing about hosting our Wedding at the County Arms was how great Rowan and her team were. They were extremely helpful, efficient and friendly to us and all our guests. The planning and communication before the day was very quick and efficient, and the flexibility shown to meet our requirements was greatly appreciated. Nothing was too much trouble, even last minute printing of speeches and late changes to music etc.
Overall I would highly recommend this venue if you are looking for a great pub venue in London, with excellent food & drinks, and a friendly and efficient team to help plan your day and ensure you and your guests have a fun and memorable occasion.
After looking at many venues in South London, I chose the fantastically refurbished Belvedere Rooms at The County Arms to celebrate a “significant” birthday. I wasn’t disappointed. This is a beautifully atmospheric place to gather with friends and family, if you are lucky, you can spill out through the bifold doors on to the enchantingly lit deck area. The food was delicious, the friendly, welcoming and seamless service made for a stress free, hugely enjoyable evening. Thank you so much to all the team for a fabulous night at The County Arms. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone.
We booked the trinity room for our sons christening and we could not be happier. The room was perfect, very spacious. The food was delicious and very tasty. The service was very professional, quick and efficient. All my guest le were absolutely delighted. Thank you so much for making our day a success.
