The Duke of Cambridge has been providing sustenance for the good people of Battersea since 1890. Whilst the horse drawn omnibuses are long gone, you can still find us on the doorstep of Battersea Park offering a welcoming blend of tradition with a modern twist.
Whether you are looking for a large venue for a lively anniversary party or looking for somewhere with a more intimate setting, the Duke of Cambridge team are here to make sure all and any needs are catered for.
The Lavender room, bar area, dining room and snug all offer alternative settings to fit every mood or occasion.
Among our previous successes are a Harry Potter themed children’s party, a Tiffany themed baby shower, a high-tea style 60th Birthday gathering and of course more than the odd Hen do! As well as our usual A la Carte menu that’s on offer all year round, any special requests regarding buffets or alternate refreshments can be arranged by the Duke of Cambridge team.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Duke of Cambridge and sharing in your experience.
Service was very friendly and prompt. For large groups there is a room at the back which is very nice and sizeable. The Sunday roast is also very nice.
“We chose the Duke of Cambridge as the location for my fathers wake as it was close to the church. From the outset the staff were friendly and keen to discuss our exact requirements at this difficult time. Nothing was too much trouble and on the day everything we asked for was provided, including jellied eels and pork pies! We chose a high tea which was dads favourite, the sandwiches and cakes were delicious. The Lavender Room was beautifully laid out. The service at the bar and with our food was exceptional and the staff were very sensitive at this sad time. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Duke of Cambridge for this type of event.”

I hosted my annual Xmas lunch party this afternoon in the “Lavender Room” for clients & dogs. A good time was had by all!
Great venue for a birthday party!
Celebrated my wifes birthday here last weekend with 30 guests (plus 6 babies). I struggled to choose from all the pubs in Clapham / Battersea that offer private dining space – they all look the same on their websites! Delighted we chose this in the end.
We paid a deposit of £10 per head that was deductible from the bill. The space is well-lit, spacious and is located at the back of the pub (about 15ft from the bar), so it is close enough to enjoy the pub atmosphere but far enough away to have some privacy. We weren’t an easy crowd but the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful all day long and let us stay all day long. A great day out.
