Finding love at the pub is certainly nothing new with one poll revealing that over 60% of people agree that the pub is a great place for a first date. So it’s no surprise to hear that Brits love going for a drink with their partner, infact a whopping 90% of us love heading to the pub with our other half. Pub love is clearly strong contender when it comes to romancing your significant other and for many it doesn’t just stop there – once you’ve met ‘the one’ it’s time to pop the question.
This New Year’s Eve we were over the moon to hear the news that the White Cross pub in Richmond was the back drop to Spencer and Rosie’s engagement story, we caught up with Spencer a few weeks later to find out how it went.
“I proposed at the White Cross, Richmond on NYE 2018 as this was the 1st place we went on a date and we just love the pub, sitting out in the sun on a summer afternoon and watching the ducks and boats on the river it is just magical. I was very nervous and definitely had a few to drink beforehand to give me some courage – but she said yes which is all that matters!! “
