This is such a lovely pub, very warm and cosy, good food, delightful service (very un-London!) and generally a hidden gem! We come here several times a week and The Grove never fails to live up to our expectations. Absolutely rare and wonderful.

Great Pub. There were no free tables when we arrived but the bar maid said she woul have a table ready soon and got us some drinks while we waited. The Cornish beer was spot on! The food was very good and the service was attentive considering how busy they were. Finished lunch and We're now watching the grand prix on sofas in front of the fire and wanted to leave a review before I fall asleep. It doesn't get better than this. Definatley worth finding this place!

HI
Thank you for a lovely dinner last night. The menu has changed a lot and it is nice to see free range chicken and British beef on the menu. The food was great and the manager was very enthusiastic about the changes which convinved us to stay and eat. I had the burger and my friend had the steak and both were cooked perfectly. A really good sized portion.
The pub looks really good and the outside area shall be where I spend my summer. Don't change a thing. Thanks again for wonderful evening.

Nice pub. Especially providing Six Nations Rugby as a backdrop to a Candlelie Valentine's Dinner. Red Roses everywhere.... I'm all for it but will that work?

I went to the Grove on Sunday 7th December. Our first time in the pub after discovering it on a walk a few weeks ago. We went for late afternoon Sunday lunch which was lovely. Both the beef, turkey and chicken were all very tasty and the vegtables too - often an after thought on a pub roast dinner but not here. A good choice of Young's real ales and top branded lager. Mulled cider on sale too and the wine list was reasonably priced too.
Atmosphere was warm and inviting, the staff were very polite and friendly and I would recommend this as a fixture in the Sunday lunch calendar. I've eaten at most places in Balham and the Grove rates as one of the best.

I have just gotten back from the Grove and wanted to congratulate you on a superb pub. We were pleasantly surprised to find some great live music and spent a lovely evening in front of the log fire with great food and superb mulled cider. The staff were very good and wouldn't let us get up from our sofas. The Grove has definitely changed since I went there last year and has a completely different atmosphere. I had already heard about the reputation of the roasts and having been back I will be in on Sunday to see for myself.
